1) General attendance data collection, log files:

The operation of our website includes the anonymized collection of certain data during page visits, including
- IP address of the visitor (anonymized)
- Time and duration of the visit to our website
- accessed pages and files
- Browser and operating system used

This data is collected and used on the web server in so-called log files
- ensuring a smooth connection to the website
- ensuring system security and stability, and
- an anonymous statistical recording of visitor and call numbers of our online offer.

The use of this data therefore represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 § 1f GDPR.

The storage period for these log files on the server is 3 months, but we reserve the right to archive the log files on our own computers for up to 5 years. The automatic server-side anonymization of the IP addresses means that no conclusions can be drawn about the personal data of individual site visitors. We also do not use any tools for so-called user tracking on our online offer.

2) Cookies

Some of the websites use so-called cookies. Cookies do no damage to your computer and contain no viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted. Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions you desire (e.g. shopping cart function) are set on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR saved. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for analyzing your surfing behavior) are stored, these are dealt with separately in this data protection declaration.

3) Contacting the operator of the website and partner publishers / distributor of notes

Using the forms after calling up the work order information, we offer our site visitors the service of contacting directly the publisher or sheet music distributor responsible for a particular work. This is expressly not an order process, but only a contact mediation. This service represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

In order to maintain this service, contact and other personal data entered by the visitor - specifically: name, email address and message text including work data - are converted into standard emails on the server side and simultaneously sent as unencrypted email to the following recipients:
- to the partner publisher / banknote distributor of the operator, who is named in the respective work information.
- as a copy to the operator of this website, Prof. A. N. Tarkmann
- as a copy to the agency of the website operator, Cecilia Music Contact GmbH, Cologne

The personal data entered will be used to contact the recipient publisher named in the form and for further communication. The email copies to the operator and his agency serve to support the contact of the interested party with the partner publisher, for example, if questions arise about keys, instrumentation or alternative instrumentation, which the distributing publishers usually cannot answer due to a lack of knowledge of the individual works . The personal data from the inquiries will not be passed on to third parties not mentioned, inside or outside the EU. The data sent as e-mail are stored together with other business e-mails on mail servers of the providers commissioned by the recipients and on computers of the e-mail recipients themselves. The duration of the storage there depends on the legal regulations for data storage of e-mail traffic. For information on how the partner sales companies deal with the data protection of their e-mail traffic, please refer to the respective data protection information provided by the provider.

4) Your rights

You can object to the storage of your personal email data by simply sending a written request (e.g. by email, letter or fax) to the website operator or to the agency (Cecilia Music Concept GmbH, Cologne). On request, you will also receive information about which data has been stored by you and how. You can find the address details under Contact. In the same way, you can request a change or surrender of your data or prevent their disclosure. The operator or agency of the operator will also inform the partner publisher, if applicable, of your request. If there are no legal regulations to prevent this (e.g. retention periods for business e-mail traffic), your e-mail and contact details will then be deleted from the e-mail or contact directories mentioned or changed there. You also have the right to contact a complaint office if you find any violations of data protection regulations. The responsible complaints office is the "Datenschutzbeauftragter des Landes Baden-Württemberg".
